This beautiful vintage box in a deep mahogany finish has been rehabilitated with a fresh coat of charcoal chalk paint and then distressed to pull through the lovely dark tone that lies beneath. The lid has been outfitted with a wood-patterned print and five real microscopic slides, hand drawn and designed to appear as organic samples with distinct labels. The box interior is a traditional velveted jewlry box, which has been fully cleaned and brought back to life. Rich untouched mahogany wood outlines the fitted mirror and deep green velveting.
